Hello!

I've been making furniture to furnish my own house for over 20 years. It all started with a simple problem - I couldn't afford to buy the kind of furniture I wanted. I've built beds, desks, stereo racks, lamps, tables, bookshelves and more. I loved all of the classic mid-century pieces by Isamu Noguchi, George Nakashima, Eames etc. - but the authentic pieces were both out of my price range and hard to get. Along the way, I also started to find that some of the midcentury classics didn't quite fit my lifestyle or living space. So, I started to build my own versions of those classic designs.

I've always had a passion for good lighting. The right lighting can transform a mundane space into something cozy and beautiful. The new generation of smartbulbs allow for new lighting options that have been hard to achieve with previous solutions (special wiring, dimmer switches etc).

These two pursuits collide in the form of the Freccia Floor Lamp. I spent a lot of hours reverse-engineering some classic lamp designs and then updating them to make them easy to assemble, easily customizable, and easy to ship. Paired with a modern smart-bulb, you get the best of classic mid-century design and modern technology. It's a lamp that is both sculptural and functional, works in nearly any decor, and will always be in style.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
